LAB TESTING
Lab testing is not necessary to take Leucofix/Folinic Acid.
However, some lab tests that are associated with Folinic Acid are:
MTHFR Genetic SNP polymorphisms:
Abnormal MTHFR genetic polymorphisms are present in approximately 50% of people in the world, increasing risk of anxiety/depression, autism, and cardiac disease. If you have any MTHFR polymorphism, Leucofix/Folinic Acid can support your health. The more severe the polymorphism, a higher dose may be more effective, and the more potential for change. Those with no MTHFR polymorphisms can still take Leucofix/Folinic Acid, but probably need a lower dose.
FRAT (Folate Receptor Antibody Test):
FRAT (Folate Receptor Antibody Test):
Immune system antibody attack on the folate receptor has been associated with autism, and reduces the amount of Folinic Acid that can enter the brain. If you have abnormal Folinic Acid Receptor Antibodies, Leucofix/Folinic Acid can support your health. Those without folate receptor antibodies can still take Leucofix/Folinic Acid, but probably need a lower dose.
Folate Blood Levels:
Why Folinic Acid testing in the blood is not common, Folate blood tests are available at most labs and hospitals around the world. If your blood level of Folate is high, and you are not taking any supplements, this indicates your folate is not being used well by the body, and is an indicator (although confusing), that Leucofix/Folinic Acid can support your health.
